Most people look for success stories, they read books about them and listen to motivational speakers who proclaim the virtues of such successes. However, when I look back over my life, it seems that I have had quite a few successes that other people would call “near misses,” “one hit and then the ball bounced back,” or even “one take and the next was nothing.” These types of victories would seem to indicate that I am not cut out for the business world, but is this true? Can someone with only a few successes also be successful in life?
Success stories are everywhere if you just look for them, and I think part of the problem is that most people want to hear from more successful people. Unfortunately, if you go around looking for success stories, you will not find very many. You have to really look to see what successful people are doing to get where they are. You have to look in the mirror to see if you have what it takes to be successful in life. You might also want to spend some time thinking about what kind of behaviors and traits you have that lead to your success or failure in life.
After you determine that you are not ready to hear about other peoples’ success, you may still want to hear from those who have had a lot of success in life. There are actually two ways to do this. The first way is to get personal calls from these people. That can be done by hiring a personal development coach or mentor to help you develop your own success story, or you can search out and listen to your favorite success stories on tape. The advantage of tapes is that you can hear the voice of someone who achieved great success in life.
